We operate a maximum of 6 days in advance for Bookings and places for Classes are limited, please book at the Health Club Reception or Call: 01430 425544.  We also politely request, if you are unable to attend, please let us know, quite often we have other members on a reserves list.

Class:                                   Body Conditioning

Difficulty Level:         1/2/3 

What is it all about:

The Class is specifically orientated to toning those areas of the body, supermodels always seem to have in abundance.  The class involves resistance work to an upbeat musical rhythm which helps each individual create muscle strength endurance, which is the key when looking to develop ‘tone’.  This class is ideal for those who don’t mind using weights and want to tone all areas of their body.

 


Class:                         Power Hooping

Difficulty Level:         1/2/3

What is it all about:

Fitness with a ‘Twist’

The large diameter makes Powerhoop easy to use, even for beginners.

The weight and wavy inner surface slim your waist and strengthen your core muscles

With regular use you’ll be surprised by how quickly you’ll see results.

Class:                         Aerobics

What is it all about:

An extremely popular class, taking it back to the 80’s this class incorporates the high impact aerobics with the renound step box.  These classes have been part of an organised session for many years.  The beauty of this class is that it provides a method of exercise that can be manipulated and specialised to each person, this all levels of fitness and ability are welcome.  The class’s upbeat nature proves a very effective way of raising heart rate, which helps gain overall fitness and endurance.  The stepping part also helps tone lower body regions.  An excellent class for those who want to lose those extra pounds and keep them off !


Class:                         Body Blast

Difficulty Level:         2/3

What is it all about:

A high intensity aerobic dance class.  Incorporating an aerobic exercise with toning  for a  full body to help you burn fat whilst enjoying a good dance routine.

Class:                         Aquatonic / Aquatic Stretch & Tone

Difficulty Level:         1/2/3

What is it all about:

Rapidly becoming more popular within the Health and Fitness industry, aquatonic or aqua-fit classes combine high tempo exercise to music with a form of constant ­, (supplied by the water around each individual).  Such an environment provides a safe, low impact method of moderate to high intensity cardiovascular exercise.  Aquatonic is ideal for those who suffer muscle or joint pain during regular exercise, but is also ideal for those who wish to break from the norm when fitness training.  So why not take a dip yourself !

 


Class:                         Zumba

What is it all about:

Zumba is a Latin inspired dance fitness class that incorporates Latin and

international music and dance movements that includes: Merengue, Salsa,

Cumbia, Reggaeton.  Zumba combines fast and slow moves and rhythms

that tone and sculpt the body and is designed for everyone, dancers and

non dancers  …  and all fitness levels. Zumba’s basic class makes the

moves easy to follow and the music makes it easy to follow

 


Class:                         Yoga

What is it all about:

Unlike stretching or fitness, yoga is more than just physical postures.  Yoga is unique because we connect the movement of the body and the fluctuations of the mind to the rhythm of our breathing.  Connecting the mind, body and breath helps us to direct our attention inward.  The awareness that we cultivate is what makes yoga a practice, rather than a task or a goal to be completed.  Your body will most likely become much more flexible by doing yoga and so will your mind.

 


Class:                         Stretch, Tone & Relax

What is it all about:

A very low level stretch and toning class for those who find pilates or yoga a little strenuous.  A relaxing class designed to help promote mobility

 

 

 


Class:                         Pilates

Difficulty Level:         1/2/3

What is it all about:

Pilates is named after Joseph Pilates, a German who moved to England before the First World War.  Nowadays it has been developed with more medical knowledge and is used by thousands, including dancers, athletes and for remedial work.  There are 8 principals to Pilates:  Balancing the body, creating good alignment of the body, Breathing, Relaxation, to develop core strength, to develop more flexibility, Development of co-ordination, to develop greater stamina.

 


Class:                         Metafit

Difficulty Level:         2/3

What is it all about:

The Metafit bodyweight training systems aims to boost the metabolism and burn fat ! The work out will push your muscles to fatique and elevate your heart rate so that you carry on burning calories for 24 hours after the session! You will move your body in every plane of motion, recruit largest muscle groups, use your core for stabilisation and anti-rotation and train for intensity not time!

 


Class:                         B.Barre Fitness & Stretch & Tone

What is it all about:

 

  1. Barre Fitness is an Adult Ballet based Class – It’s never too late to dance! Whether you’re a complete beginner, professional dancer, have danced all your life or simply want to try something new

we have a class specially tailored for you.  A ballet class is proven to improve…  – flexibility – coordination – well being – posture  – cognitive skills – strength – balance.   Please wear usual moveable gym wear with bare feet or ballet shoes. A Pink Tutu is entirely optional ! J

 

B.Barre Stretch & Tone  – A perfect follow on from a Ballet Class, the Ballet Barre and floor is used for a more isolated, slow paced class used to sculpt the lower body, abs and to increase your flexibility.
